Rydal Hall Christian Retreat and Conference Centre

Rydal Hall, near Ambleside, is the Diocese of Carlisle's Christian Retreat and Conference Centre and has been providing Christian hospitality to people of all faiths or none since 1963.

Set in over 30 acres of garden, woodland and natural beauty in the Lake District UNESCO World Heritage Site, Rydal Hall is the ideal venue for retreats, events, activity weekends or just a family holiday. With wonderful views over the Rothay valley and with the Fairfield Horseshoe and Nab Scar as a backdrop, the Hall and its grounds are the perfect place to enjoy this beautiful part of the world.

Rydal Hall offers excellent accommodation, meeting and events facilities with options to suit everyone, including en suite bedrooms in the main Hall, a bunkhouse, two self-catering cottages and a campsite including three eco pods. With our kitchen team producing delicious home-cooked meals, we can offer a range of catering options to suit each visit.

As well as group bookings, Rydal Hall is also available to accommodate private individuals or families all year round.

The Diocese has two Youth Centres. They both offer unique residential opportunities for groups of all sizes and ages in beautiful Lakeland settings, and are both much loved by all those who have been to them.
