"I have so many good news stories to share about DTI, it is hard to know where to begin. I could share about the wonderful, diverse and hard-working team that I shared five days with. Our wonderful new tents. The superb camp set up provided by STK, the lack of traffic on the way down and easy check in. The team’s commitment to helping the young people have the best week, stepping in to lend hand when needed. Supporting each other, joining in with activities. Having a listening ear or managing ‘situations’. I could share stories on the new friendships that were made amongst the young people. A group of young people from across the county with different Church backgrounds, coming from very different communities, homes and age ranges. All choosing to get to know each other, make friends, hang out, learn from each other and forming unbreakable bonds. I could share about the bone rattling worship, the 4,500 voices raised in worship, the Conga and mosh pit. Those crying out to Jesus in prayer, those receiving healings and others making commitments for the first time. Over the next few weeks, other leaders will share stories and a film so I will keep my story brief.

"After receiving prayer for the first time, a young lady, wholly non-believing looked me straight in the eye. I asked her ‘Well? How was it? With tears in her eyes she said ‘I can’t explain it Rachel, It was like God stopped my heart and restarted it to a different beat, does that make sense to you? I said yes, yes it does. Later that week she gave her heart to Jesus and cannot wait to go again next year and bring her friends along.

"After many nights of too little sleep, lots of worry and sleeping on the ground, these little gems make it all worthwhile. It was an honour to work with a wonderful team and to serve such a great bunch of young people. Here’s to next year."
