Stavanger

Strong ties have developed over the years between the two dioceses, with a team from Carlisle having visited in 2016 and a reciprocal visit by a Stavanger Pilgrimage group in 2018. Both Cathedral choirs have also exchanged visits. In 2013 the Bishop of Stavanger and his senior staff visited our diocese. We have representatives of the Norwegian Mission Society working in our diocese. Partnership Agreements have signed between our two dioceses .

Zululand

There have been numerous reciprocal visits from clergy and laity between the dioceses of Carlisle and Zululand. A 2017 visit was also recorded in this blog. Meanwhile farming projects in Zululand benefited from a three-year Bishop's Harvest Appeal commitment. 

Northern Argentina

Following the establishment of the link in 1995 we have supported a range of projects from a soup kitchen to refurbishment of the bungalow for Bishop Nick and Catherine Drayson. A 'Faith in Partnership' agreement was signed by Bishops Nick and James in June 2013. The Northern Argentina team is looking at ways in which we are able to learn from each other to help develop the link. A number of exchange visits by clergy and lay people have already taken place.
